Collins forblev i&nbsp;<em>Columbia<\/em>&nbsp;mens&nbsp;<em>\u00d8rnen<\/em>&nbsp;med Armstrong og Aldrin om bord p\u00e5begyndte m\u00e5nelandingen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Efter en omhyggelig kontrol blev landingsmotoren p\u00e5&nbsp;<em>\u00d8rnen<\/em>&nbsp;t\u00e6ndt og nedstigningen begyndte. Under landingen bem\u00e6rkede astronauterne at det planlagte landingssted var mere klippefyldt end forventet. Astronauterne vendte tilbage til Jorden den&nbsp;24. juli&nbsp;og blev modtaget som helte efter 21 dages&nbsp;karant\u00e6ne. Karant\u00e6nen skyldtes faren for eventuelle m\u00e5nebakterier.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tal:<br>Masse:<br>Affyring: 2.923.387 kg<br>Rumfart\u00f8j: 46.678 kg<br>CSM-masse: 30.320 kg, heraf CM 5.960 kg og SM 24.360 kg<br>LM-masse: 16.448 kg , heraf landingsdel 11.463 kg og returdelen 4.985 kg<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Jordkredsl\u00f8b:&nbsp;halvandet kredsl\u00f8b f\u00f8r turen mod M\u00e5nen, knap \u00e9t p\u00e5 tilbagetur<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>M\u00e5nekredsl\u00f8b:&nbsp;31<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Kommandomodulet&nbsp;<em>Columbia<\/em>&nbsp;er udstillet p\u00e5&nbsp;National Air and Space Museum,&nbsp;Washington D.C.&nbsp;Overdelen af m\u00e5nelandingsmodulet&nbsp;<em>Eagle<\/em>&nbsp;blev forladt den&nbsp;21. juli&nbsp;1969&nbsp;i m\u00e5nekredsl\u00f8b. Nedstyrtningsstedet p\u00e5 M\u00e5nen er ukendt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Den 21. marts 2013 fandt et bj\u00e6rgningshold, betalt af IT-milliard\u00e6ren Jeff Bezos (Amazon-stifter og inkarneret rumfartsentusiast), to F-1-raketmotorer, der for mere end 40 \u00e5r siden sendte Apollomissioner ud i rummet.\u00a0Saturn V-rakettens f\u00f8rstetrin havde fem F-1-motorer, og faldt i Atlanterhavet n\u00e5r det havde brugt sit br\u00e6ndstof.
