Det var den f\u00f8rste J-klasse mission, og for f\u00f8rste gang blev der medbragt en\u00a0m\u00e5nebil.<br>De f\u00f8rste m\u00e5nelandingsfart\u00f8jer havde prim\u00e6rt fokuseret p\u00e5 selve det at lande p\u00e5 M\u00e5nen, og der havde ikke v\u00e6ret meget plads til videnskabeligt udstyr. Der var ogs\u00e5 mulighed for at bringe en st\u00f8rre last af m\u00e5nepr\u00f8ver med tilbage til Jorden. P\u00e5 den anden m\u00e5nevandring blev der ved foden af Apenninerbjergene fundet den s\u00e5kaldte&nbsp;<em>Genesis Rock<\/em>&nbsp;(Skabelsesstenen), der med en alder p\u00e5 4 milliarder \u00e5r var den \u00e6ldste fundne m\u00e5nesten.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Fra kredsl\u00f8bet om M\u00e5nen blev der ogs\u00e5 foretaget observationer, idet en sektion i servicemodulet var blevet fyldt med videnskabelige instrumenter. En filmbeholder, med detaljerede billeder af m\u00e5neoverfladen, blev hentet ind i kommandosektionen af Alfred Worden under en 39 minutter og 7 sekunder lang rumvandring p\u00e5 vej tilbage mod Jorden.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Kaptajnen David Scott lod en geologhammer og en falkefjer falde samtidigt p\u00e5 M\u00e5nens overflade og beviste\u00a0Galileis\u00a0faldlove i praksis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Den ene af de tre faldsk\u00e6rme foldede sig ikke ud p\u00e5 hjemturen.&nbsp;<em>Endeavour<\/em>&nbsp;landede lidt h\u00e5rdere end normalt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Kommandomodulet er udstillet p\u00e5\u00a0Wright-Patterson Air Force Base,\u00a0Dayton,\u00a0Ohio\u00a0og m\u00e5nelandingsfart\u00f8jet styrtede ned p\u00e5 M\u00e5nen den\u00a03. august\u00a01971\u00a0p\u00e5 26,36 N, 0,25 \u00d8.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Apollo 15\u00a0var den niende bemandede mission i\u00a0Apollo-programmet\u00a0og den fjerde m\u00e5nelanding.
