For f\u00f8rste gang var der en videnskabsmand med,&nbsp;geologen&nbsp;Harrison Schmitt.<br>Det var den f\u00f8rste og eneste&nbsp;natlige&nbsp;affyring af&nbsp;Saturn V-raketten \u2014 efter sigende kunne man fra kontrolcenteret i&nbsp;Houston&nbsp;se udst\u00f8dningsflammen fra raketten med det blotte \u00f8je, n\u00e5r den kort efter starten fra&nbsp;John F. Kennedy Space Center&nbsp;i&nbsp;Florida&nbsp;kom op over den \u00f8stlige horisont set fra Houston.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Landingsomr\u00e5det var&nbsp;geologisk&nbsp;set meget varieret, og med en uddannet geolog p\u00e5 m\u00e5neoverfladen var der mulighed for at indsamle mange forskellige pr\u00f8ver. Det viste sig dog, at den orange farve i m\u00e5negruset skyldtes sm\u00e5 farvede,&nbsp;vulkanske&nbsp;glasperler.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>P\u00e5 den f\u00f8rste k\u00f8retur tabte Gene Cernan en&nbsp;hammer&nbsp;ned p\u00e5 den ene sk\u00e6rm p\u00e5&nbsp;m\u00e5nebilen.
